Nearly 10 years to the day when the Foodbank opened its doors for the first time on Monday 8th April 2013, the Foodbank Trustees, management Committee and Volunteers met to show their appreciation and gratitude to Howard and Kathy, as Howard fully retires from his role as Foodbank Stock Controller on 31st March 2023.
The past 10 years have seen the Foodbank develop from its small beginnings, become a Charity and to grow into the amazing project it is today, helping so many going through difficult times in Hertford, Ware and the surrounding villages.
Howard has been a dedicated, hard-working and skilful volunteer, ably assisted at all times by his wife Kathy – they were described as the foundation stones on which the present-day operation has been built and testimonials on Howard’s attributes were given by Chris, Fran, Cheryl and David.
We are so thankful for all the time and energy they have given the foodbank over the last 10 years and wish them well.
