Volunteer Role Profile
Volunteer Role: Warehouse Packer
Where you will be based: Hertford URC Church
Why we want you:
The Food bank provides essential community services to people in crisis. By volunteering as a Warehouse packer, you’ll be acting as the link between food donations coming in and reaching those in need. You’ll be part of a team sorting and packing food and additional items.
You’ll be organised and have an eye for detail. This is a physical role as you’ll be on your feet and you must be comfortable with some heavy lifting.
You will be working as part of a team.
When we want you:
Shifts currently required on Tuesdays, usually lasting around 2 hours working with one other member of the team. Timings can be agreed between you. You will not be required to work every week and shifts are usually agreed 1-2 months in advance.
Availability to cover holidays/sickness on other days also desired.

Strong team player
An eye for detail
Organised and self-motivated
Comfortable in a physical role with some heavy lifting
